Every qualifying purchase at a LocalLoyalty partner merchant earns a percentage of the total spend into the stokvel. Buy R500 in groceries? R10 lands in the pot for your whole group. (If that was set at 2%)

No. Creating and running a LocalLoyalty stokvel is completely free for shoppers. There are no monthly contributions, no fees, and no minimum balance.
There's no member cap. Invite as many people as you like — the more members shopping at partner merchants, the faster the shared balance grows.
Any merchant on the LocalLoyalty platform that has opted into the stokvel programme. The cashier's till automatically applies the earn rate when you check in at the register.
The stokvel owner has exclusive control over redemptions. In a future update we'll add governance modes — such as requiring a majority vote — for groups that want shared control.
If you're not in a stokvel at the time, the cashier can still credit the change to your individual LocalLoyalty card instead. The change never disappears.
No. The balance lives entirely within the LocalLoyalty platform and can only be redeemed at partner merchants. It's loyalty credit, not cash — simple, safe, and no banking detail needed.
